How Kelly Ripa Is Rumored to Be Reacting to 'The Bachelorette' Backlash

The Bachelorette has a lot of fans, but Kelly Ripa isn’t one of them. It turns out, that has also become a big deal and she has gotten backlash for it. How is she dealing with it? Here is how she feels according to an unknown source.

Kelly Ripa called The Bachelorette creepy

The talk show host revealed that she isn’t a fan of the popular dating show, The Bachelor. “I can’t stand the idea of 25 exceptional women fighting over one ordinary fella, in my opinion. You know how I feel, ladies, we are too special to be arguing over a guy.”

She acknowledged that other women do watch it with, “Having said that, all of you women watch that gross, gross show.” What about The Bachelorette? Well, Ripa said the show was “just as creepy.”

The Bachelor creator slammed Ripa saying the show pays for her salary

The most brutal defense of the dating show came from its creator, Mike Fleiss. He took to Twitter to respond to Ripa.

“Easy, @KellyRipa … #TheBachelor franchise pays your salary!” he tweeted. Both The Bachelorette and Live With Kelly and Ryan are on ABC.

Host Chris Harrison also put a call out to the show’s fans by tweeting, “Look out #BachelorNation ⁦@KellyRipa⁩ is coming after you and your “disgusting” Monday night habit.”

The Bachelorette’s newest star, Hannah Brown appeared on Live With Kelly and Ryan and defended the show to Ripa. “Like you, I didn’t really follow the show, wasn’t a big fan,” she said. “But, being a part of the show, it’s not women fighting against each other. Really, some of my best friends came from the show and were really supportive. When you have a group of 30 people together, there’s going to be people who don’t like each other. That’s simple facts.”

Ripa is rumored to be “exasperated” by the backlash

A source responded to Fleiss’ comment about Ripa’s salary saying it was inaccurate. “How dumb can you get? Kelly’s salary is paid by ABC Syndication and The Bachelor brand is produced by ABC Entertainment, they’re two separate entities, they have nothing to do with each other,” a source told Page Six.

How is the talk show host dealing with the responses? She is rumored to be surprised by the reactions.

The source then asked, “And why make this so personal — Kelly’s said way worse about The Bachelor in the past — the joke is that this is the least offensive thing she’s ever done. This just seems desperate.”

The source revealed that Ripa hasn’t actually heard about what Fleiss and Harrison tweeted. “She’s exasperated, she’s like, ‘Are you kidding me?!”

One person has since come out publicly to defend Ripa. Ellen Pompeo who stars in the ABC show, Grey’s Anatomy tweeted at The Bachelor creator.

She tweeted, “Okay @fleissmeister… that’s some handle bro! Your show does NOT pay @KellyRipa salary. Also we don’t attack successful women on our network and men certainly cannot take credit for their success. Don’t get me started on your show cuz I’m a savage….#bachelorsoooowhite.”

Ripa has yet to address Harrison or Fleiss’ tweets about her opinion on the show.
