At the hospital, they deduce that the bomb must be connected to the threats Marilyn’s been receiving.
As Bree tends to an injured Roo at the hospital, she is shocked when Roo reveals she can't feel her legs.
Also suffering from the explosion is Mali, who discovers that he has a perforated ear drum and needs to stay out of the water for a few weeks.
Later, Mali insists he doesn’t want his family finding out about his injury and is uncomfortable being labelled a hero.
With his damaged eardrum affecting his balance and stopping him from teaching surf lessons, Mali worries how he will he survive financially.
At Roo's bedside, Irene and Marilyn learn she’s not yet breathing on her own and need to be moved to a specialist unit in the city.
A guilt-ridden Kirby is also at the hospital, feeling terrible following her role in the fight against Stunning Organics.
After reassuring Kirby that this is not their fault, Marilyn breaks down as Roo is wheeled into surgery and tearfully promises to get justice for her friend.
Meanwhile, after surgery, John suffers a dizzy spell and later clutches his chest in agony.
Bree rushes to the rescue and with dutiful Irene by his side, John makes it through.
Elsewhere, Marilyn and Kirby are still shaken in the wake of the explosion, and neither have heard anything from the police.
When they read in the paper that the CEO of Stunning Organics was asked to step down weeks before the “incident”, Kirby believes he must be the one who planted the bomb.
After sharing her theory with Rose, the two argue when Kirby says that the police have done nothing so far.
Across the Bay, Felicity dodges questions from a concerned Tane regarding her assault.
When he presses, Felicity tries to seduce him to avoid talking about it.
Sensitive to his wife’s vulnerability in the wake of her trauma, Tane pulls away from her advances, leaving Felicity feeling rejected.
Later, when Felicity sees a drink unattended at Salt, she demands that everyone is to buy their own drinks from now on.
Felicity is convinced that Tane no longer finds her desirable after her assault and later tells him she just wants to move on with her life.
After Eden chats with Felicity, she reports back to Tane that Felicity is fearful of losing him.
Acting immediately, Tane pleads with Felicity not to self-destruct before she tells him she’s willing to try counselling.
Across the Bay, Leah tells a recovering Justin that she wants to ask Andrew to stay with them permanently.
On their way back to the Bay, Andrew confides in Theo that they could be in danger as Vita Nova is still out there.
Despite Leah's assurance that no one will hurt them, Theo later finds Andrew clutching a kitchen knife for protection.
When Andrew and the knife later go missing, Theo tracks him down to the beach where the teenager reveals he is leaving to protect Justin, Leah, and Theo.
After much persuasion from Theo, Andrew decides to return home but is rattled when Rose reveals the other members of Vita Nova won’t be charged.
Desperate for a solution, Justin offers to set up security cameras to give Andrew peace of mind.
