Hollyoaks bad boy Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) admitted that he's fallen in love with Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson) during Wednesday's first-look episode.
Warren was in Maxine's bad books at the start of the episode after she learned that he previously threatened her life.
She was left for dead following the laptop heist several months ago, after Katja accidentally knocked her down.
Maxine had no idea that Warren was involved in the crime and was adamant that the police needed to know what happened.
Warren, however, disagreed and he ended up resorting to some pretty drastic action in order to keep her quiet.
Believing all his problems to be behind him, he organised a little trip away with Maxine.
However, Fergus Collins wasn’t pleased that Warren was prioritising his love life over his work and he therefore revealed to Maxine that it was Warren who threatened her in the clown mask.
As Maxine mopped to her mum Trish (Denise Welch) about her split from Warren, she didn't get the response she expected.
Trish later wandered over to Warren and told the village hunk that her daughter wasn't good enough for him.
Warren was taken aback by Trish's coldness towards her offspring and he told the dance teacher that he loved Maxine.
Fans of the Channel 4 soap rushed to social media to discuss Warren's bombshell.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "What? He loves Maxine already?"
Another added: "Omg he loves Maxine."
A third person posted: "Warren defended Maxine, he truly loves her!"
While a fourth social media user said: "Warren moves on quick tho, he was in love with Sienna like two weeks ago."
Maxine was delighted to hear Warren standing up for her and the pair decided to continue their romance.
She was left terrified last month after a man appeared outside her hospital room wearing a clown mask – and this mystery man threatened her into staying quiet about the hit and run.

Maxine was left fearing for her life in the aftermath of such a thing, but little did she know that it was Warren, who would ironically fall in love with her afterwards.
Warren told Fergus that he didn't want to be part of any more dodgy dealings just before the end credits rolled.
The evil businessman agreed to let Warren take charge of his more legitimate affairs but he later pulled out his mobile phone and watched a women in a bedroom via a hidden camera.
