Holly Willoughby reveals she put on three stone during every one of her pregnancies as midwives warn of weight gain dangers

She opened up about her own experiences on This Morning today during a chat with resident medic Dr Chris Steele.

They were discussing how much weight gain is healthy following calls to issue guidelines to expectant mothers to help them manage how many pounds they pile on.

Dr Chris said that for women who are not considered obese, the maximum weight gain during pregnancy should be 2.7 stone.

Holly, 37, then admitted she put on much more than that during each of her pregnancies, revealing she piled on three stone every time.

She said: "I was never weighed [by anyone at the antenatal clinic].

"I weighed myself. I put on three stone with each of them.

"Which is more than the 2.7 you said."

Holly is a mum to three children with her husband Dan Baldwin.

Her eldest son Harry is nine years old, her daughter Belle is seven and her youngest son, Chester, is three.

And while she loves her kids, her co-host Phillip Schofield has said that baby speculation "drives her mad".

Phil explained to The Mirror: “The minute she’s off poorly everyone says she’s pregnant. If we do an item with drinks she doesn’t like and she doesn’t have one, 'ooh she must be pregnant'.

“It drives her mad.”
