Friends fan spots hidden message on Ross Geller’s shirt – and it’s so sweet

Since Friends was added to Netflix, fans have had time to rewatch all 236 episodes of the popular sitcom.

In doing so, they've noticed a lot of things about the show – including something strange in Joey and Chandler's oven and something creepy behind Rachel in one scene.

And it seems there are still plenty of new things to learn about the comedy, as another devoted viewer has just spotted something in one of the episodes towards the end of the series.

Taking to Reddit's How You Doin' forum, a unnamed user pointed out something very sweet about Ross Geller in season eight, episode 17, The One with the Tea Leaves.

In one scene, Ross, played by David Schwimmer, is seen in Central Perk coffee shop wearing a grey t-shirt.

On this shirt is a motif of two hands, with the index fingers locked together.

This is particularly interesting as it actually means the word 'friends' in sign language.

Hundreds of people upvoted the post, with many commenting that they'd never noticed that before.

One person wrote: "That's pretty cool and something actually new I haven't heard before about the show."

A second said: "That's some wholesome s***."

Another asked: "So who's gonna take one for the team and start printing shirts?"

A link was then shared to Redbubble, where someone had made their own version of the top and was selling it for £14.79.

Some of the stars of Friends have recently been sharing some behind-the-scenes facts from the show.

Lisa Kudrow, who played Phoebe Buffay, admitted that her favourite episode to film was the pilot for the first season as it was "thrilling" to be part of it.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she said: "We were like little puppy dogs, just climbing all over each other and playing and playing games. It was fun."

Similarly Courteney Cox who starred as Monica Geller, has been giving fans what they want by sharing throwback photos on Instagram and recreating iconic moments from the show.
