Emmerdale's Maya 'makes viewers' skin crawl' with reaction to teenage kiss

Emmerdale villain Maya Stepney ‘made viewers’ skin crawl’ during tonight’s dramatic episode.

The paedophile schoolteacher started spying on Jacob Gallagher and his girlfriend Liv Flaherty.

But it was Maya that got a nasty surprise when she saw something that left her seething with anger.

She spent the morning flirting with David Metcalfe in front of Jacob, but insisted they were just "messing around".

Maya told her pupil to spend the day with his girlfriend to draw suspicion away from their illicit affair.

Liv was surprised that Jacob actually turned up and gave him an early birthday present.

Later on, Maya pulled up in her car just as the pair were walking down the street.

Liv confessed she was really upset when she thought Jacob wasn’t coming round.

Jacob said: "Just be yourself. You’re great."

To show her appreciation for his kind words the pair shared a romantic kiss.

However, their very public display of affection did not go unnoticed by Maya.

The scheming teacher, who has been grooming Jacob for months, did not look pleased.

She had a face of thunder as she strutted off back to David’s shop.

Jacob realised he had made a mistake and looked worried that he had hurt Maya’s feelings.

Shocked Emmerdale viewers took to Twitter after watching the uncomfortable scenes.

One viewer said: "Maya off of Emmerdale literally makes my skin crawl"

"Mad Maya will be on the warpath after that kiss," added another.

A third added: "Liv and Jacob would be so cute if it wasn’t for this horrible Maya storyline"
