Charity’s relationship with the Dingles might have hit an all-time low on Emmerdale tonight (September 24) after a heated clash.
DC Bails may have been found guilty of sexually assaulting Charity when she was a teenager, but she still holds anger towards her family over their treatment towards her over the years, while they are annoyed that she has gone off the rails again.
To settle things, the Dingles held a mock-up courtroom/intervention, and as you’d expect, nothing got resolved, serving only to drive more of a wedge between them.
Viewers mostly took Charity’s side, calling out the Dingles for not helping her when she needs it, and praising actress Emma Atkins for a strong performance:
Things get even worse when Charity overheard Cain talking about how she will never change, and she decides to go for a drunken drive… which is when she accidentally runs over Monty the dog.
The Dingles are horrified that the pooch could be hurt, and Charity exclaims the family care more about it than they do about her, and she walks off by saying she is done with them.
Of course, with the arrival of her father Obadiah into the show, we know that won’t be the case.
Emmerdale airs nightly at 7pm on ITV.
