Emmerdale: Caleb and Charity share a steamy kiss
Some Emmerdale viewers are wondering whether bad boy Caleb Milligan (played by Will Ash) could have a possible redemption arc similar to his brother Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) if he survives.
Reddit user BlackBalor theorised following Friday’s Emmerdale: “Funny how what happened to Caleb is the same thing that happened to Cain years back.
“Everybody in the village hated Cain. He wound everybody up. There was a whodunnit.
“Turned out it was Zak (Dingle, Steve Halliwell) who beat his head in with a lug wrench or whatever.
“Imma say it was Nicky who did that to Caleb.” (sic)
The Emmerdale fan continued: “He ain’t around at the moment, and they didn’t show him on screen to make you think it was him. Maybe that’s too obvious but I’ll stick with it.”
Fans of the ITV soap might recall Cain was viciously attacked back in December 2011.
His father Zak was acting very suspiciously about the incident and refused to visit his son in hospital.

Later it emerged he was the one who in fact attacked Cain, which he admitted to after Cain attempted to get Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) imprisoned for the assault.
He confessed to his son in a dramatic scene: “You know damn well that it wasn’t Jai. Because you know damn well it were me!”
Zak planned to hand himself in for the crime but Cain kept his dad’s involvement a secret, retracting his statement against Jai.

Could the Reddit user be on to something by predicting Caleb will follow in Can’s footsteps following the near-death experience?
Caleb hasn’t been in the soap for long but has been quick to make plenty of enemies in the village.
He even faced one of the famous “Dingle Courts” earlier this week, where several family members admitted they wanted him gone from the village.
He didn’t help himself by later sleeping with Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), leaving Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) another potential suspect in the current whodunnit plot.
Perhaps if Caleb survives the attack he will turn over a new leaf like Cain and become a staple member of The Dales-based soap.
Emmerdale continues on Monday at 7.30pm on ITV.
