Emmerdale's Rishi dead at bottom of the stairs
Emmerdale fans seem to think they have worked out how Rishi Sharma (played by Bhasker Patel) really died – and that his brother Amit (Anil Goutam) has something to do with it.
The newcomer arrived in the village earlier this week, and in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk and other press, the actor who plays him teased Amit has a “dark side”.
“I am really pleased with how it’s written because there are lots of complexities with this guy,” Anil began.
“I guess he is the sort of person who can…you’ve only seen one side and he has a darker side to him but not in his own mind.
“He does what he does to protect his family, but what he thinks is the right thing to do to protect his family. And I think he can convince himself that anything is the right thing.”

In official spoilers released by ITV, Amit is secretly pleased when Suni asks him to stay in the country but the chef is incredulous at Amit’s attempts to emotionally blackmail him.
However, Suni soon confides in his boyfriend Nicky (Lewis Cope) and is dumbfounded when Nicky listens to Amit’s secret.
Later, Jai (Chris Bisson) is wary of Amit as he recalls old tales and Suni is prickling with unease as Amit tries to play happy families with them all.
The next day, Suni is worried to know Caleb (Will Ash) and Amit are due to have dinner. Whilst Nicky’s nervous as he and Caleb head up to Holdgate.
