Emmerdale viewers were excited in tonight's episode, 18 October, as resident bad boy Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) finally got involved in Lydia Dingle's rape storyline at the hands of evil Craig Reed.
Sam Dingle (James Hooton) continued to struggle with how best to proceed in the aftermath of discovering what had happened to his beloved wife Lydia, becoming upset during a routine visit to Home Farm.
Realising that Sam needed the help of his family, Will called on Cain and told him to come and speak to his brother.
While Sam was surprised to see Cain "who had so much going on" turning up just to talk, Cain was concerned why his brother hadn't told him how much he was "struggling".
Before fans knew it, Cain reminded Sam that there were things "he could do" to "sort" Lydia's rapist, as Sam said he was consumed with anger and didn't know what to do for the best.
"There are ways we can deal with this," Cain began carefully, as Sam wasn't sure what he meant at first.
"Well, there's the law law and then there's the Dingle law. Always has been," Cain reminded him.
"Lydia doesn't want anything like that," a pained Sam said, worried about where this path could take the family.
"She wants this? This isn't just a feud," Cain encouraged his brother. "You just say the word and I can make it happen."
As fans were left with a gigantic foreshadowing of what's to come for Craig, and that Cain could be the one to kill them, they shared their elation on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"Got to be done Sam, let Cain sort it! #Emmerdale," one person declared. Another viewer exclaimed: "Dingle Law…. YES!! #emmerdale"
"C’mon let’s go Cain V Craig #Emmerdale," a third fan encouraged.
While a fourth person urged Sam to "give Cain the word" in a bid to finally get justice for Lydia. "Come on Cain you know what you need to do!! #Emmerdale," another fan added excitedly.
It comes as fans were left "fuming" over Samson Dingle's careless mistake on the soap yesterday, Tuesday 17 October, as the 17 year old teen told Cathy what had happened to his stepmum in the cafe.
As a result, other villagers heard and started spreading the news around, which eventually led to Lydia finding out that people were gossiping about her.
Emmerdale continues weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV
