EastEnders villain Stuart Highway to get "much, much worse" in dramatic autumn storyline

EastEnders star Ricky Champ has revealed plans for his character Stuart Highway to have an explosive autumn storyline.

The show’s latest villain has been posing a threat to the Carter family ever since his true colours were revealed a few weeks ago – but it seems that he’s only just getting started.

In a new interview with Inside Soap magazine, Ricky warned that EastEnders fans have only seen the beginning of what Stuart is capable of.

“Stuart, Halfway and the Carter family have a big autumn ahead of them – and trust me when I say that Stuart is going to get much, much worse,” Ricky explained.

“He is going to be very driven in order to achieve what he wants.”

Tony Clay, who plays Stuart’s on-screen brother Halfway, added: “You’ll see even more of Stuart’s manipulative side and find out whether blood is thicker than water for Halfway.

“They’ll always be brothers, but how long can Halfway let Stuart go on the way that he is? He’s set to feel really tortured over it.”

Both stars were speaking to the magazine to promote their recent nominations on the Inside Soap Awards 2018 longlist.

Ricky has been nominated in the Best Bad Boy category, while Tony is up for Best Newcomer and Funniest Male.

Their full interview and exclusive photoshoot appears in Inside Soap‘s new issue, out today (August 14) and also featuring chats with five of the other cast members.
