EastEnders viewers point out apparent plot hole in Louise and Keanu kidnap saga

In Monday night’s EastEnders, it was revealed that Louise Mitchell (Tilly Keeper) had been locked in shipping container.

Boyfriend Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) tried to rescue her, but was knocked out and locked in himself too.

Last night they were rescued after they managed to escape – but viewers were left seriously confused by the goings on.

Louise had her phone with her and tried to phone her dad, but she complained that she had no signal.

“If Louise doesn’t have a signal, how did her dad phone her yesterday?”

But viewers were confused, as Phil (Steve McFadden) had managed to call her during Monday night’s episode.

One tweeted: “If Louise doesn’t have a signal, how did her dad phone her yesterday?”

Another suggested: “Why doesn’t Louise just send her GPS location via text when she gets the odd bit of signal?”

A third added: “Louise’s phone suddenly can’t get a signal but could in the last episode. Keanu’s phone is dead but was working just fine before he got to the containers. EastEnders continues to become more and more of a joke.”

While someone else suggested: “Yeah just an idea Louise and Keanu, honk the bloody car horn.”

Louise did eventually managed to get a bit of signal, though the call broke up before she could speak to her dad.

She moved her phone closer to the container’s door to try and boost signal, but to no avail.

The apparent blunders didn’t stop there though, as fans were confused by Louise’s room decor.

She had a number of candles on shelves in her room, despite being left scarred after being pushed onto open flames at her prom.

Lou didn’t seem to care though, as she was too busy getting up close and personal with Keanu after their traumatic ordeal.

EastEnders continues Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
