EastEnders star Louisa Lytton is feeling positive about her future in the show after meeting with new boss Kate Oates.
Louisa, who recently reprised her role as Ruby Allen after a 12-year absence, has admitted that she has already met with Kate – who came on board as the show’s top boss over the summer.
Louisa said: “Kate is so nice. We’re all very excited. It’s a really nice atmosphere there.
“Obviously, John brought me back to the show, so I’m very grateful for that, but it’s just exciting whenever you have a new boss – to get their different views and their storylines and their ideas, and to see where the show goes. I’m here for a while.”
Louisa also discussed the major differences of being in the show now, compared to her previous stint back in 2005.
“It’s massively [different],” she said. “When I was there before, I was 15 – I was still at school. And it was a different world back then. It’s so different now – different as an actress, and different in every sense.
“But it also still feels like the same place. I’ve still got my friends there. It’s still the same atmosphere. I can’t explain it.
“People keep asking me if it’s different and I’m like, ‘It’s the same but it’s different’. In a way, I felt like I just went back and I never left. But at the same time, it feels like a total new job. Which is weird.”
