EastEnders fans spot major blunder as Kat Moon is living ‘in the past’

EastEnders fans spotted a huge blunder when Kat Moon was waiting for her husband.

Alfie Moon left his family in Albert Square to go off and try and fix his mess, asking Kat for some extra time so he could sort things out.

But she was shocked when the police came over and said they found a car on a cliff edge, thinking he may have tried to throw himself off the cliff.

While Kat was worried about Alfie, however, fans were focusing on one thing: her phone.

As Kat looked over a text from Alfie which said: "I’m in trouble. Give me 48 hours. Trust me. X" fans noticed the date seemed to suggest the text was sent on January 17.

Of course, the episode aired on January 24, making fans question whether Kat is a secret Time Lord.

One fan joked: "Is EastEnders today meant to be set last week or did they put the wrong date on Kat’s phone?…said Thursday 17th January! # Eastenders"

Another said: "Kats phone was a week behind @ bbceastenders her screen said Thursday 17th January # confused #EastEnders"

A third added: "Has anyone Else noticed that The Date On Kat’s Phone Says Thursday the 17th Jan!! No wonder she can’t get a hold to alfie she is a week behind lol # Eastenders"

Another simply asked: "17th January on kats phone??# EastEnders"

When Alfie turned back up in Walford, all it has caused is a nightmare for the family as he has been discovered as the father of Hayley Slater’s baby and kidnapped the child after being shoved down the stairs.

But will his latest scheme – which Kat thinks may be to fake his own death to gain some kind of insurance money – actually pay off, or will the family be left alone and struggling in their alternate past?

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC1.
