Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford told to keep quiet over their This Morning axe

EAMONN Holmes and Ruth Langsford have been told not to be too vocal about being axed from This Morning.

The couple fought back tears as they hosted their last live show on Friday.

Eamonn, 61, had a dig at ITV bosses about them getting rid of them.

But pals warned them not to speak out for fear of losing other gigs at the channel, including Loose Women for Ruth, 60.

A source said yesterday: “Ruth and Eamonn are obviously upset and feel humiliated about being put out to pasture.

“But they’ve been advised to keep schtum or risk losing more work.

“It could damage their brand if they lash out.”

The pair were replaced by Alison Hammond, 45, and Dermot O’Leary, 47.
