Michael McIntyre’s Send To All game has become legendary since the comedian’s Big Show launched.
But one star who didn’t know how the game worked is Doctor Who star and The Chase legend Bradley Walsh.
Rather than putting his mobile in Michael’s handy contraption that takes it from the box to the stage, Bradley instead tossed it down to him.
But an unprepared Michael didn’t catch it, and instead the phone fell to the floor and shattered.
After seeing Michael’s shocked face, Bradley admitted that it was just a prank and his real phone was actually in his pocket. What a scamp.
Bradley currently has a very full schedule, being both Britain’s top quiz host and a Time Lord’s companion.
Speaking to Digital Spy and other press, he explained how he’s managing to juggle all of his roles at once.
“My producers here [on Doctor Who] and my producers over there [on The Chase], they plate-spin between the two of them,” he said. “That’s an ongoing contract I have with ITV so I have to take care of that.
“Everyone here at the Beeb, especially Matt and his team, has been unbelievably accommodating.”
Walsh continued to describe the process of making ITV’s popular quiz, which will celebrate its 10th anniversary next year: “When I do The Chase, there is no autocue. I just press the juice button and we go. So we start at 10 o’clock, finish at half-past five and we make three shows a day.
“I can do that standing on my head. We’ve made more than 1,000 shows. I go along, I turn up, we have fun, I go home.”
