Iron Fist showrunner Raven Metzner has revealed that there was a hidden Marvel hero in the show’s second season.
In case you didn’t spot him, the hidden hero was Samuel Chung, aka Blindspot, played by James Chen.
Metzner confirmed that the character, credited as Sam, was Samuel Chung, when one fan asked: “#AskRaven it seems as if James Chen was simply credited as ‘Sam.’ Is his character in fact Samuel Chung and if so, are there plans for him to go full-on Blindspot?”
He replied: “The character’s name on the call sheet is Samuel Chung. @jamesCchen is a great actor and a great guy and I love the character Blindspot. You can infer the rest. @MarvelIronFist #IronFist @netflix @NXOnNetflix.”
Meanwhile, the Marvel TV show’s second series ended with a big change of direction for Iron Fist, as Finn Jones’ Danny Rand contemplated his reasons for the wielding the power of the Fist.
With the Fist safe from Davos and his murderous rampage, Danny instead convinced Colleen Wing to take over and become the Iron Fist through an ancient ritual.
Fans of the original Iron Fist comics will know that female Iron Fists have existed, but this is the first time in the Marvel-verse that Colleen has taken on the mantle.
