David Tennant’s wife divides opinion letting newborn watch harrowing Doctor Who episode – The Sun

GEORGIA Tennant ruffled feathers among her Instagram followers after posting a picture of her baby.

The wife of acclaimed actor David Tennant is, understandably, a big fan of Doctor Who.

David held the role of the Tenth Doctor and made his debut on the BBC sci-fit hit back in 2005.

Last month the pair welcomed their new baby to the world, although they’ve yet to reveal their name or gender.

The little bundle of joy made their Instagram debut as Georgia posted an adorable pic of them lying on the floor watching an old episode of Doctor Who.

She jokingly captioned the Instagram post: “Indoctorination.”

Snuggled up in a fleece onesie with a rocking horse in view, the cutie looked to be thoroughly engrossed as they watched their dad and Billie Piper travelling through time.

However, a few eagle-eyed fans noticed that the episode in question was a particularly bleak one and took a swipe at Georgia for deeming it appropriate.

“Why start with one of the saddest episodes?” one user asked.

“But… Doomsday? Seriously? You will break the baby's heart!” a second added.

A third wrote: “Why are you making your kid watch army of ghosts, it doesn’t know what’s coming next.”

Some people really will moan about anything, won’t they?

Fortunately most of Georgia’s followers had more positive things to say.

“I can’t cope with the cuteness,” one gushed, while a second chimed in: “Yes, getting them started early!”

David and Georgia, who is the daughter of Fifth Doctor Peter Davison, met on the set of Doctor Who back in 2008.

Georgia previously played David’s daughter / genetic clone in one episode and has also appeared in some of the show’s audio drama spin-offs.

Suffice to say the family’s links to Doctor Who are pretty strong.

David is the birth father of four of Georgia's children and adopted her older son Ty from a past relationship after they married in 2011.

David recently spoke out about the possibility of all the post-revival Doctors uniting for another anniversary special.

"It would be fun to do – Jodie, Peter, and Matt are all mates now. It would be wonderful to be on set with them,” he said.

"Chris, I don't know as well, but I'm a huge admirer of him and I've always enjoyed meeting him, so it'd be fun if we were all on set together."

Meanwhile Doctor Who fans went wild last week when the show's official account teased Jodie Whittaker's return with a shadowy pic.

Doctor Who will return to BBC One in 2020.
