Coronation Street viewers spoted at bizarre blunder in tonight’s second episode.
The awkward gaffe happened during Liz McDonald’s shock exit as she headed off for sunny Spain.
Liz went missing when she was due to give evidence at Johnny and Jenny Connor’s trial.
She eventually rang worried Steve and revealed she was at Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport.
Corrie fans noticed something peculiar about the plane that Liz was sitting on – and thought she may have gone back in time.
Concerned viewers took to Twitter after seeing the state of the plane.
One viewer said: "Liz has not only travelled to the airport but she’s travelled back in time 30 years! Where is that plane from?! The 80s?"
"That plane Liz is on looks like it’s made of MDF," added another.
A third said: "Liz! Get off that plane! It doesn’t look air worthy!"
Steve was frantic with worry after Liz failed to turn up in court.
He pointed the finger of blame at Gemma, accusing her of kidnapping his mum.
Just as Steve claimed Gemma was lying, Liz rang to reveal exactly where she was hiding.
Liz said: "I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t could let Johnny and Jenny get sent down. Rita had a word. She made me see what a mess this all is. I couldn’t see any other way to end it."
Liz apologised for worrying her son and told him to concentrate on Amy and her pregnancy.
Hitting back at Steve, Gemma said: "See, no scary kidnapping. She just fancied some tapas."
Will Liz be coming back to the cobbles?
