Corrie outrage as Vera Duckworth’s memory soiled by thieving Evelyn Plummer

Vera Duckworth’s memory was totally besmirched by Tyrone Dobbs’ new ‘nan,’ Evelyn Plummer, in a shocking moment.

Tyrone has lived in the home of Jack and Vera since he arrived on the street, and become like a son to the pair.

They looked after him and helped him through many difficulties, eventually accepting Fiz Brown, his girlfriend and then wife, into their home as well.

But now, in a shock moment from Tyrone’s new ‘nan,’ Evelyn Plummer, Vera’s memory has been torn to shreds, when Evelyn stole her jewellery and started parading around Weatherfield in it.

It was Fiz who revealed the truth to Tyrone in a heartbreaking moment, when she showed him the half-empty jewellery box, and pointed out how Evelyn had been wearing a pair of Vera’s trademark earrings earlier in the day – the big turquoise ones which took up most of any shot she was involved in.

Tyrone is devastated to realise she had stolen a load of the jewellery, and confronted her in a blazing row where he called her ways "disrespectful," questioning whether their living arrangements are still working.

He asked: "You’re big on respect are you? Maybe for the living, but not for the dead!"

And fans agreed, taking to social media to share their outrage.

One said: "Awww, I hope Evelyn hasn’t stolen, sold or pawned Vera Duckworth’s jewellery. Shame on her if she has! # Corrie"

Another added: "OMG Evelyn has taken Vera’s earrings # corrie @ itvcorrie @ alanhalsall @ jenniemcalpine"

A third also said: "OMG Vera’s stuff..!!! Tyrone you idiot don’t lose fizz you wally # Corrie"

But Evelyn shows her gentler side later on, but will Tyrone be swayed?

Meanwhile, Kate and Rana took photos of themselves to celebrate their engagement, but soon baby talk will threaten to spoil their fun.
