Coronation Street's Damon Hay is set to hold Adam Barlow at gunpoint in a shock revenge plot.
Drug dealer Damon, played by Ciaran Griffiths, returns to the cobbles in these exclusive snaps to take revenge on Adam for running him out of town. Damon fled after an affair with Adam’s wife Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) resulted in her becoming pregnant with his child.
But drama is about to hit the cobbles as Adam, played by Sam Robertson, is pictured with a hood over his head and a gun pointing at him. Damon will return next year and Corrie boss Iain MacLeod confirmed the love triangle is far from over.

He said: "The story kicks off almost in the first moment of the new year. It's revisiting the unfinished business between Adam, Sarah and Damon.
"We arrive in the new year and Adam and Sarah are rubbing along okay, they are trying to amicably co-parent Harry Platt [Freddie and Isaac Rhodes] as per their agreement when they split up. It is going alright and then suddenly, wallop, Adam finds himself in this nightmarish situation, all at the hands of Damon who has unexpectedly come back.
"In our mind, he has been somewhere away from Coronation Street plotting his revenge and it arrives as a fairly blunt force on the first episode of the new year. The story then becomes a love triangle where Damon, who has also been pining for Sarah, comes back with a two-pronged plan.
"He wants to get his revenge on Adam and also he wants Sarah back because he feels like she is the one and he will essentially have to contend with the fact these two plans might not be compatible, can he have his revenge and have Sarah?" Despite wanting to work through things, Adam couldn't handle Sarah's betrayal and decided to end their marriage.
But after Adam learned of the attack on Sarah by Stephen (Todd Boyce), it became clear how much he still cares for his wife. Opening up on Adam and Sarah's future as a couple, Tina admitted she has "no idea" which direction the writers are heading with the story.
The 40-year-old told Digital Spy: "It's interesting, because I have no idea how this is going to go with the writers. Sarah obviously made some really stupid decisions. She had an affair with Damon and then lied about who the baby's father was. They've been through a lot and I think she has pushed that relationship so far that I'm not sure if the trust can ever be fixed."
The soap star added: "I think what's so beautiful, though, is that Adam still clearly cares about her. He's not the guy who would ever hurt her in any way – and vice versa. I think there's a lot of love and care there for each other.
"Whether or not they could ever go anywhere with that, I don't know. I'm not sure which way the audience will want that to go!"
