Coronation Street: Ryan leaving Weatherfield
Stephanie Davis, who pays Courtney Vance, recently opened up on what it was like to be part of Coronation Street and admitted she “could have cried” during her first day.
The former Hollyoaks star left the E4 series back in 2015 and has been away from her acting life for the past three years.
Now, the star has gotten back into the flow and landed her “dream” role, as Courtney in the ITV soap Coronation Street.
Stephanie admitted filming on the set was “surreal” and felt like she could have broken down in tears on her first day.
Speaking to Express.co.uk and other press, she said: “On my first day on set, my first scene that we filmed was in the Rovers which was amazing, surreal.

“And I always said to my mum and my partner, ‘I can’t wait to be back on set and hear, rolling up, action.’
“And I took a little video of myself when I heard it and I could have cried, I was so happy.”
During Friday night’s episode, Courtney called Aadi Alahan (played by Adam Hussain) into Darren Vance’s (Ryan Early) office under the pretence of talking about their business.
However, when he arrived he noticed it was just Courtney sitting at the desk and that Darren had gone home.

Aadi asked: “Did you want to go through the figures?” Leaving Courtney to kick off her shoes and laugh: “Don’t be so nervous… You got a girlfriend? I bet you do.”
Aadi promptly replied: “I’m not… And no,” before she jumped down from the desk and added: “Good, that makes me feel less guilty.
“Your so sweet and innocent, your definitely sweet…” Before the pair passionately kissed one another.
In upcoming scenes, the pair are caught out by Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) when she lets herself into the house to collect some paperwork for Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin).
Will she keep their secret or will she use the information to get something out of Aadi or Courtney?
Stephanie recently praised her co-stars for welcoming her to the show and said: “Everyone has been so nice.
“I have been working with Jimmi who plays Dev, who is just amazing and such a special person, Elle Mulvany who plays Amy Barlow, she has been amazing.
“Adam who obviously plays Aadi, and Helen [Worth] who plays Gail, she has been so lovely, she has been like a mother hen to me, settling me in.”
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
