Coronation Street’s Sean Tully could have his sad secret exposed next week after he starts begging for money on the streets.
Sean (Antony Cotton) has been sleeping rough for past few weeks after being kicked out by his friend Fiz Stape and failing to find alternative living arrangements.
Unfortunately, Sean’s ordeal is about to get even worse in upcoming scenes, when he loses his only source of income when he’s sacked by new Rovers bosses Johnny and Jenny Connor.
As Sean tells his new friend Carol that he’s now completely penniless, she tells him that begging for cash is his only alternative now.
Although Sean is initially horrified at the thought, he is forced to listen to Carol’s advice and later sits on a street corner wrapped in his sleeping bag.
When a child drops a pound coin in his empty mug, Sean is unable to control his emotions as the sad reality of the situation dawns on him.
However, as Sean later begs for money outside the hospital, he is panic-stricken when he sees his ex-boyfriend Billy Mayhew approaching with Rana Nazir.
Terrified of being spotted, Sean quickly grabs his cup and darts out of sight – but have they already seen him?
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
