In recent weeks, Coronation Street viewers have watched poor Sam Blakeman (played by Jude Riordan) lose his mum Natasha (Rachel Leskovac) after she was killed off. Natasha’s death meant Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) and Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) have been left to raise Sam, although, things have been far from easy for the ITV soap stalwarts.

Since Natasha’s funeral, Sam has been struggling to grieve and he refuses to speak to Leanne and Nick about it.

The couple have even considered putting Sam into therapy in a bid to get him to talk about how he feels.

And in upcoming scenes, things could go from bad to worse for Sam.

In scenes set to air very soon, Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) helps Max Turner (Paddy Bever) with his science project.

He also reveals that he is currently working on a film in his spare time.

Max shows his dad, David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) his project and he is delighted that Summer is having a positive influence over his son.

After staying at a hotel, Nick also tells his son that they’re moving back to their flat.

As Nick, Sam and Leanne reach their home, David and Max are around the corner.

When Max makes some insensitive remarks about Natasha’s death, Nick is left fuming.

Leanne assures Nick that with family support, Sam will be fine.

Leanne encourages Sam to write down his happy memories of his mum and to store them in a jar.

When Sam refuses to engage he returns back to his bedroom.

Later on, Nick confides in David that he’s hoping to reignite Sam’s interest in his telescope.

This is when Max suggests that he and Lily Platt (Brooke Malonie) could join him.

At the sight of his telescope, Sam’s face lights up, although, when his dad explains that Max and Lily will be joining him, Sam can’t hide his disappointment.

When Max uploads the finishing touches to his film to social media, he infuriates Summer.

In the cafe, a horrified Summer watches Max’s film, a documentary of the night of the sewer collapse, suggesting a conspiracy theory linking Johnny’s (Richard Hawley) and Natasha’s deaths.

Summer demands Max take down the video for Sam’s sake.

Having found out from Nick about the video nasty, a furious David gets into a row with Max.

Max orders for his son to hand over his phone as he clearly can’t be trusted with it.

However, an angry Max takes a swing at David and ends up stomping upstairs.

Meanwhile, Lily ends up locking Sam out on the balcony when they are looking through his telescope.

As she dangles the key in front of Sam taunting him, Lily ends up choking on her lollipop when the sweet comes away from the stick.

While Lily continues to choke, Sam watches on frozen to the spot.

Will Sam overcome his silence to save Lily, or will the youngster let her die?

Coronation Street airs on Monday at 7.30pm on ITV.
