Tracy Barlow (played by Kate Ford) is currently on holiday with her daughter Amy (Elle Mulvaney) but when she returns home she’s in store for a big shock that could cause serious problems for her marriage.
In upcoming scenes Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) will make his way to pick Tracy and Amy up from the airport.
However while on his way he will be spot Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell) crying at a bus stop and offer her some well needed support.
Emma’s dad will die next week and viewers will begin to see the Weatherfield residents begin to suspect Steve could be her real father.
Steve offers to take Emma to the chapel of rest to see her ‘dad’ but she soon becomes even more upset when she realises she can’t afford the coffin she would like.
Secretly, Steve gives the undertaker £600 to help Emma but his decision to do so could cause a huge problem between him and Tracy.
When Tracy returns she discovers Steve has cleared the joint account and demands to know what he’s spent the money on.
But, instead of the truth, Steve lies and pretends he’s had to help out a family friend.
Will Tracy discover the real reason why Steve wants to help Emma and erupt as a result?
Meanwhile Steve’s mum Liz (Beverly Callard) and Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) work out Steve could be Emma’s dad.

As he researches DNA testing kits, Steve hides what he’s up to from Tracy but it won’t be too long before she uncovers the real reason he’s being secretive.
After her ‘dad’ passes away, Emma discovers he isn’t her real father after an emotional talk with her mum.
But Audrey, who comforts Emma at the hospital, soon joins the dots when she realises Emma’s mum is Fiona Middleton (Angela Griffin), who shared a relationship with Steve in the past.
So far, Emma has avoided investigating her paternity out of respect for the man who brought her up.
However how will Emma react when she discovers her real dad lives on the street?
Meanwhile Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) has been left heartbroken as Jan Lozinski (Piotr Baumann) was forced to flee the cobbles.
Jan let Eileen believe he was involved in a human trafficking ring but in reality he was working as an undercover police informant.
When the police stormed one of the nail salons where the girls were forced to work, Jan was arrested and his true identity was revealed to viewers.
However Jan was told to leave the cobbles, leaving Eileen behind who still believes he’s a criminal.
Will Eileen discover the truth about Jan or will she be left in the dark?
