Celebrity Big Brother star Dan Osborne has opened up about the Roxanne Pallett ‘punchgate’ saga, calling his fellow housemate’s claims “so believable”.
Roxanne infamously accused Ryan Thomas of punching her in the ribs while play-fighting during their time in the house.
She subsequently left the house after a massive backlash, admitting her claims were “out of order” and apologised to Ryan.
Speaking about what happened, Dan admitted that they all believed Roxanne’s claims at first, and that he himself “helped draw a line”.
“I’m glad I could help draw a line under it because that whole situation was horrible,” Dan told OK!. “It’s not the sort of thing I’d expect someone to lie about, so I had no reason to question if Roxanne was telling the truth at first.
“She was so believable but she had us all fooled. It was only when Ryan didn’t get thrown out that I started to question what had actually happened.
“Ryan was being isolated from everyone in the house as we all thought he’d hit her and it was horrible to see, so that’s why I went to speak to Big Brother.”
Meanwhile, Chloe Ayling recently came to Roxanne’s defence over the incident, saying: “She made a big mistake and she doesn’t really deserve the death threats. It’s horrible and I know what it feels like.”
