Viewers suggested the married Towie star, 27, was giving a secret fling away with his "nervous laugh" as housemates Natalie Nunn and Rodrigo Alves suggested there was something brewing between the couple during tonight's episode.
The father-of-three was seen telling Ryan Thomas and Jermaine Pennant, "we are mates" before admitting that he thinks that the pair being in the house together "looks more guilty than the f**cking pictures".
He added: "I don't know what to do with myself I just f**k around too much."
Shortly afterwards, when talking to Gabby, 26, on the sun loungers, Jacqueline Jossa's husband said: "Me and you get on better than anyone else in here."
Later on in the episode, while Gabby and Dan were in the hot tub with fellow housemates, the camera panned to Natalie and Rodrigo in the bedroom discussing their relationship.
Of Dan, Natalie said: "He's got a wife and a seven-week old baby.
"And his wife was devastated when she saw these pictures."
Rodrigo added: "As much as they say nothing has ever happened, I'm pretty sure something has.
"And I would hate him to damage the marriage that he's so proud of."
Those watching at home took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the status of Dan and Gabby's relationship.
One wrote: "Dan and Gabby doth protest too much #CBB"

It comes after Dan was seen getting closer to Gabby earlier this week when he comforted her after she rowed with Rodrigo Alves.
The Love Island star got upset in the garden when she told the ex-Towie star about the argument she had with the Human Ken Doll, who accused her of excluding him from a work out session the previous day.
The 26-year-old told Dan: "I feel like I'm going mad."
Sitting beside her on a sun lounger, the father-of-three touches her thigh and replied: "I know you are you're getting upset again.
"Listen it's an experience in here, you were probably buzzing to come in here don't let two f***ing people ruin it who you have never met before coming in here."
