CBB letters from home leave fans in tears as Hardeep cries at his mum’s words

Letters from home struck a chord with fans once again as Hadeep Singh Kohli wept while hearing his mum’s words read out to him.

Later, in the Diary Room, Hardeep said he expected to hear from his manager rather his parents, before becoming emotional again as he talked about how he is there "because of them."

The letter started with a joke about being "live on Channel 5," so he should not swear and should "put his butt in his trousers."

The moment Hardeep realised the letter was from his mother, he started welling up as he put his head in his hands.

The letter, as read by Kirstie Alley , said: "You dad and I have been watching and we are very proud of you and how you are representing yourself.

"You’re being true to yourself and have impressed us with the way you have dealt with this very unique situation."

She told him how much support there was for him at home, saying: "Even going to the local shops, people are passing out their good wishes and the neighbours also."

Hardeep’s mother told him to enjoy the "once in a lifetime experience" and said they will have a big party when he arrives home.

Later, as Hardeep spoke out about the letters, saying he wished it hadn’t been read out.

He said: "Honestly, I didn’t really want to read it, I didn’t want to have it read out.

"I thought it was going to be from my manager, I didn’t think it as going to be from my parents."

"I miss my dad, miss my mum obviously but I’m very close to my dad. I feel I could leave now and walk to Glasgow to see them, I’d walk."

Hardeep said he wears his shawl as his mother does, paying tribute to her because of her and her father’s sacrifices for him.

He added: "I’m here now because of them, end of story."

Fans took to social media to share their broken hearts at his sadness.
