Captain Sir Tom Moore has said he'd love football legend David Beckham to play him in a movie about his life.
The 100-year-old war veteran shot to stardom after he walked up and down his garden with his walker 100 times, raising a staggering amount of cash for the NHS during the coronavirus pandemic.
Tom's charity efforts were incredible, and the public fell in love with the generous and heroic grandfather.
He raised an astonishing £32, 795, 065 for the NHS, and inspired many to also raise money for charity.
He was chatting to Kate Garraway and Alex Beresford about his new book, Tomorrow Will Be A Good Day.
When asked who he would want to play him in a film about himself, Tom didn't choose the likes of legendary actors Sir Michael Caine or Anthony Hopkins.
Instead he wanted football legend David Beckham to take on the role.
He explained: "David Beckham. He looks like a very nice person. He's quite young and good looking.
"Whenever you see him, he moves about so well. He's a person who looks like he's alive all time. He is a young person and he looks very well."
Captain Tom reduced viewers to tears during his interview on Piers Morgan's Life Stories.
After his grandchildren shared how proud they were of their granddad, Sir Tom was overcome with emotion and his eyes filled with tears.
Piers told him: "That's got to be pretty good hearing the grandkids talking about you like that."
"I was very fortunate…" Sir Tom began but became too emotional to continue.
Piers picked up on this and said: "It's made you emotional, hasn't it?"

Tom replied: "Yes."
Piers then asked why he felt emotional and Sir Tom explained: "Well, I've always said, 'Tomorrow's a good day' and that was a good day when I moved in with them."
The GMB host added: "You must be very proud of them."
Sir Tom said: "Yes, I am. I've got four grandchildren and what more can you wish for than that?"
