There is positive progress for Callum Highway (Tony Clay) and Ben Mitchell’s (Max Bowden) relationship in EastEnders soon.
The couple’s marriage broke down after Callum believed Ben had slept with Lewis (Aidan O’Callaghan), unaware his husband was actually raped.
For weeks we watched the couple miles apart, but Callum was always around to help Ben with other family drama – and vice versa. They still care deeply for each other, of course.
This week, after a showdown with Lewis, Ben decided to report him to the police.
When Callum entered the interview room, he immediately realised why Ben was there, which led to an emotional moment as he finally told his husband what happened.
The couple are yet to reunite, however, as Ben remains convinced Callum deserves better.
Coming up, Callum offers to accompany Ben to the police station.
Despite Ben’s rejection, Callum turns up ready to support him.
There is a long road ahead for Ben and Callum but maybe, just maybe, this is a sign they will soon get back together?
Will Ben slowly start to let Callum in and allow his husband to support him?
Let’s hope so.
