Blue Bloods | CBS
Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) is going through an adjustment period after losing Linda Reagan. Part of that involves finding out what really happened to her because it turns out she didn’t just die from a helicopter crash. Another is trying to figure out how to raise two boys by himself. But does moving on also mean falling in love with someone new? Danny Reagan has had his first flirtation with moving on recently and here is everything you know about it.
Molly Chavez hits on Danny Reagan but he’s not ready yet

Things took an interesting turn in the episode, “Handcuffs.” Molly Chavez (Stephanie Andujar) returns to Danny’s precinct to ask him to help her out with her 16-year-old brother who is getting caught up in a gang. Danny definitely hesitates to help her out saying he doesn’t help people who try to kill him. He arrested Molly back in the episode “Your Six” and she spent nine months in jail. But he eventually does try to talk to her brother.
What’s interesting is when he does talk to her brother he refers to Danny as her “cop crush.” The two characters definitely have chemistry so it’s possible that things could be leading to something more. But the episode does end with Molly hitting on Danny and when he doesn’t respond she asks “too soon?” He answers “yeah, maybe.” The two leave things off with Molly telling him “I should let you go. But I’m not gonna let you go if you know what I mean.”
If the two do date it might be awkward given her criminal history. But Molly did claim that she has been on the straight and narrow ever since Danny arrested her. Are there plans for the character to move on yet?
One of the Reagan family members might push Danny to move on
Blue Bloods | CBS
Danny might not be ready to move on quite yet. But executive producer Kevin Wade revealed to TV Insider what could push the character to put himself out there again. He said:
We’ve talked about it. Part of me thinks that would be an expectation. I would certainly expect that one of the Reagan family members at some point would weigh in and say, ‘Listen, not for nothing but you’ve still got two teenage boys, and they could really use a partner around the house.’ It’s certainly a conflict for him. It’s not easy to be alone. But there’s no immediate plan to introduce a second Mrs. Danny Reagan.
Time will tell if that’s what actually will happen. It will also tell whether Molly Chavez and Danny Reagan’s paths will cross again. Her last words to Danny show she is willing to wait for him to be ready. But it’s hard to imagine how their paths will cross again.
