A group of their backing dancers managed to tackle the man to the ground as fans watching in the crowd screamed in horror.
The man managed to get on stage at the end of the couple’s gig in Atlanta.
Beyonce, 36, and Jay Z, 48, are currently on their mammoth Run The World II world tour.
As he ran up on stage, there was panic as the backing dancers tried to work out what was going on.
Video footage revealed around ten of the dancers grabbing the man and pushing him to the floor.
Beyonce and Jay Z’s large security team then intervened and took the man off stage.
Their worried fans tweeted their concern following the incident which many said left them feeling shaken.
One asked: “Where was Beyoncè and Jay-Z security and were the security working at the venue? So many questions…”
Another said: “That fan hopping on stage is scary as f***. I’d be backstage in a blind rage if I was Beyonce and Jay Z. Where tf was security?!”
The incident comes just days after mum-of-three Beyonce narrowly avoided a nasty fall while on stage in Nashville.
She appeared to slip on her heels as she walked down some stairs during one of her songs.
But the consummate professionally managed to style the error out perfectly and made it into a dance move by kicking out her leg.
