BBC Breakfast's resident weather presenter Carol Kirkwood was forced to issue a stern warning to hosts Jon Kay and Tina Daheley on Tuesday's programme (August 23).
With her weather segment well underway, Carol was once again talking scorching temperatures and dry weather – though admitted things could change very quickly.
She explained that coming from a high temperature of 29 degrees Celsius in the south of England, "we could have some overnight showers just to start the day on Friday, which will clear quite quickly."
Carol went on to describe a "band of cloud" and "the odd shower", before we'll start seeing "brighter skies" and temperatures of up to 26 degrees.
She then warned the hosts: "So, Jon and Tina, I wasn't kidding when I said it's very changeable!"
This forced Jon to defend himself, quickly responding: "You never… you never kid! It's always spot on."
He told her: "Carol, thank you very much indeed!" as Carol replied: "Thanks Jon!"
