The couple visited the TV star to celebrate his 43rd birthday, alongside his wife Ali Astall and their newborn daughter Isla.
Ant, 42, looked in great spirits as he arrived at Dec’s house in London with Anne-Marie and his dog Hurley, who he shares with his ex-wife Lisa Armstrong.
Shortly before they arrived, birthday boy Dec was later spotted nipping to the shop to pick up some bits before returning home.
He then greeted Ant, Anne-Marie and Hurley and the group stayed and celebrated with Dec, Ali and Isla until late morning.
Earlier in the day, Ant marked his best pal’s birthday online by sharing a hilarious picture of him in a dress with their Twitter followers.
It’s been a tough few months but Ant has come out on top after overcoming his battle with drink and prescription drugs.
His good pal Simon Hargreaves revealed earlier this month that Ant was marking six months of being sober and said the Geordie TV star looked “happier than I’ve seen him in years”.
Earlier this summer The Sun exclusively revealed how Dec would be going to the I’m A Celebrity jungle without Ant for the first time.
He is taking an extended break from the spotlight, with his good friend Holly Willoughby is stepping in for him.
In a statement, Ant said: My recovery is going very well and for that to continue – having spoken to Dec and ITV – I have made the decision to take the rest of the year off.
“I'd like to thank both Dec and ITV for their continued support and I look forward to getting back to work in the new year.”
Ant and Dec have remained the best of friends, with Ant the first to visit Dec and Ali’s newborn daughter earlier this month.
