Die-hard Marvel fans are going to need some patient friends and a helluva lot of disposable income, because every entry to the Marvel Cinematic Universe is returning to select UK cinemas for you to enjoy.
Sure, that’s our savings account rinsed, but it’s totally worth it.
Ahead of Captain Marvel‘s long-awaited release (which we now have an amazing trailer for, by the way), fans are getting the MCU spectacular of their dreams – and in IMAX, too.
The screenings will run from September 28 to October 2 in 10 different cinemas across the country – with full details of venues available here.
So, exactly which films are returning to the big screen – or in Ant-Man and The Wasp‘s case, staying put a little longer? We hope you’re sitting comfortably.
The marathon will, of course, kick off with the MCU’s first entry, the 2008 game-changer Iron Man, followed by Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Incredible Hulk and The Avengers.
Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man are also invited to the party. Natch.
Rounding off Phase Three of the MCU are Captain America: Civil War, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok and this year’s releases, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War and Ant-Man and The Wasp.
Phew.
Sadly, we’ll have to wait a little longer for Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 to join the official line-up, but that’s okay – after all, the only thing better than a 20-strong movie marathon is one that has 22.
Captain Marvel will arrive in cinemas on March 8, 2019 in the UK and the US.
