Emmerdale airs the episodes we’ve all been waiting for next week, as Claire King makes her dramatic return as Kim Tate.
The soap icon is heading back to the Dales for a week-long return stint, bringing chaos to Home Farm and leaving a trail of destruction in her wake.
With the big episodes getting closer, we can now share seven big spoilers revealing what to expect from Kim’s return plot.
1. A police probe
Would it be a big week of Emmerdale without the show messing with time in one way or another? Probably not!
As the show strays away from its usual style once again, the week of Kim’s return will feature a series of ‘flashforward’ scenes showing some of our favourite characters being interviewed by the police.
With the villagers getting quizzed about a dramatic event at Home Farm’s masquerade ball, it’s clear that something has gone horribly wrong.
2. Kim and Graham ARE in cahoots
Emmerdale‘s most eagle-eyed fans definitely spotted this one in advance, and it turns out that Graham and Kim have indeed been working together.
Kim’s return scene sees Graham meet her at the gates of a prison, where she’s just been freed after a spell behind bars. Graham fills Kim in on recent events, but is horrified when she warns that he’ll have to get rid of Joe. She definitely hasn’t changed!
3. Joe is planning a surprise wedding
The main issue worrying Graham seems to be that Joe is planning to marry Debbie sooner rather than later. With Joe behaving suspiciously, it makes Graham realise exactly what he’s plotting – and this sets alarm bells ringing.
With no time to waste, Joe arrives at Sarah’s bedside and guides Debbie to the hospital chapel, telling her that they’re getting married today.
4. Graham shows where his loyalties lie
Worried that the Joe/Graham partnership is about to be ruined forever? Fear not. Graham actually defies Kim’s wishes by being honest with Joe, warning him that he knows all about his wedding idea and his plans for Home Farm’s future.
Breaking his promise to Kim, Graham hands Joe a bag containing £100,000 and warns him that he needs to get out of the village ASAP. Will Joe listen?
5. Debbie’s wedding day goes wrong
Whatever Joe makes of Graham’s dire warnings and strict ultimatums, they’re bound to distract him when he should be focusing on his happy future with Debbie.
Debbie is all dressed up at the hospital chapel and excited over the future, but her joy turns to concern when Joe is a no-show. Where has he got to?
6. Kim gatecrashes the Home Farm charity ball
Was there ever any doubt with this one? As teased in Emmerdale‘s stylish new trailer, Kim will be an uninvited guest at Home Farm’s masquerade ball.
Stepping out of a sports car, Kim leaves everyone gobsmacked by declaring herself the true owner of Home Farm. Just for good measure, she then launches into a bitter rant and manages to offend every single one of the gathered guests, making enemies all round. Including Charity, by the looks of things.
7. Kim gets attacked
Perhaps Kim should have learned some tact during her time behind bars, as it’s not long before the villagers hear a piercing scream at the party. Everyone is stunned as Kim is pushed down the stairs and sent crashing onto the champagne fountain below.
Who pushed Kim? It’s really anyone’s guess right now…
Emmerdale launches Kim’s return week on Monday, October 8 at 7pm on ITV.
