Adam Sandler’s quest to be the king of Netflix continues next month with the debut of his live stand-up comedy special, entitled “100% Fresh.” Netflix has released a first look teaser at the special. Sandler’s first official stand-up release in over two decades. “100% Fresh” is directed by Sandler’s longtime collaborator Steven Brill (“Little Nicky,” “Sandy Wexler”), but does feature some portions filmed by Paul Thomas Anderson, reuniting with the actor for the first time since “Punch-Drunk Love.”
“100% Fresh” is the latest collaboration between Sandler and Netflix following films such as “The Ridiculous Six” and “The Week Of.” The pair’s most acclaimed release thus far has been Noah Baumbach’s “The Meyerowitz Stories,” which was a festival favorite last year and earned Sandler some of the best reviews of his career thus far. The actor was filming his latest Netflix movie, “Murder Mystery,” opposite Jennifer Aniston this summer. The film is expected to be released in 2019.
Adam Sandler’s “100% Fresh” will be available to stream starting October 23 on Netflix.
