Now there’s a trip for this normally hedonistic age group that takes in the seven wonders of the world.
But the 82-day holiday doesn’t come cheap. Young explorers will have to shell out £15,000 for the experience.

The round-the-world trip has been created by Contiki, specialists in travel for 18 to 35-year-olds, and will span seven countries, four continents and visits to the new seven wonders of the world.

Departing in March 2019, the holiday begins in Delhi, where travellers will visit the first wonder, the Taj Mahal.
The trip then moves on to China for a visit to the Great Wall before heading to Mexico to explore the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza.

The penultimate stop on the trip is Petra in Jordan, home to the giant metropolis of tombs, monuments, and other elaborate religious structures that are carved into stone cliffs.
The holiday ends in Italy to see the final wonder on the list, the ancient Roman amphitheatre known as the Colosseum.

Contiki says the trip not only visits the most famous sites and monuments in the world but it also allows young travellers to spend on average 12 days exploring the country where each popular site is located.
The £15,000 price of the trip includes entry to all seven wonders as well as twin-share accommodation, 92 meals and sightseeing tours of all major cities.
Also included is a trip manager and driver team, modern air conditioned coach transportation and 11 internal flights.

The trip kick-starts with a 12-day trip through India, where young travellers will visit the iconic Taj Mahal in Agra, the world’s most recognised mausoleum.
Great Wall of China
Next stop is Beijing to visit the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall of China where travellers can explore the watchtowers and fortresses, and gaze out across the surrounding valley.
Chichen Itza in Mexico
The most famous and well-preserved ruins in Mayan history, Chichen Itza, in Mexico is next on the agenda.
Machu Picchu in Peru
In Peru, travellers will gaze over the Sacred Valley from the lofty heights of Machu Picchu, the ancient Incan citadel built in the 15th century.
