Inside Amanda Holden’s ridiculously dreamy resort on her Maldives holiday

Amanda Holden has been giving us serious holiday envy as she and husband Chris Hughes celebrate their ten year wedding anniversary.

The couple, who have been together for 15 years, are marking the milestone in style with a luxurious getaway in the Maldives – and they’ve pulled out all the stops for their trip.

Amanda and Chris have opted to stay in the seriously swanky five-star LUX* South Ari Atoll and it’s no surprise that the resort caught the loved-up pair’s attention.

The resort has everything you could want for a dreamy luxury holiday thanks to its location on the Dhidhoofinolhu with white sand beaches, crystal-clear waters and breathtaking surroundings.

Not that we’re getting jealous or anything.

But it’s not just about the destination – the resort has some pretty tempting accommodation on offer. Prices range from £495 a night on Expedia for standard rooms up to £1,747 per night for glamorous suites.

There are 193 private villas up for grabs, but we reckon Amanda and Chris will have opted for one of the suites, which offer that extra touch of glamour and privacy.

Think on-the-water villas with their own private infinity pools on the water’s edge, huge open plan living rooms and king-sized beds, or beachside properties where you literally walk out of your room directly onto the picture-perfect shores.

It seems that Amanda may be staying in one of the water villas, as she shared a short video on Instagram in which she filmed a host of colourful fish swimming in the ocean, captioning the clip: "What lies beneath our room".

But it’s not all about the rooms.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge and her husband will have plenty to keep them busy from the resort’s impromptu cinema screenings on the beach, live music performances, surprise secret bars and a plethora of water sports on offer.

Not to mention the resort boasts two pools (each with poolside bars), as well as two miles of sandy beach.

Then there’s the luxury spa with a very tempting treatment menu, the restaurants serving up huge buffets and beach barbecues, or of course the excursions to be had exploring the spectacular region.

Of course all this beautiful scenery and luxury is exactly what makes the Maldives such a hit with celebrities.

The good news is that you don’t need a celebrity budget to recreate it yourself – there are plenty of ways to find cheap Maldives holidays.
