MORE countries have opened up to Brits this summer, with travel restrictions eased for tourists with both jabs.
However, one part of a holiday which is confusing is the required Covid tests – here are the rules for some of the popular European holiday hotspots.
Spain
To visit Spain, you will need either two tests or four tests, depending on if you are vaccinated.
To enter Spain, Brits will need a negative PCR test taken at least 72 hours before arrival (antigen tests not accepted for holidaymakers).
However, this only applies to unvaxxed Brits – any who have had both jabs do not need a test.
Spain is on the amber list, so this means Brits returning will have to have a negative PCR test before arriving, as well as one on day two and day eight during the 10-day quarantine.
However, this only applies to unvaxxed Brits – any who have had both jabs do not need a test on day eight, or have to quarantine (but will need them pre-arrival and on day two).
Greece
To visit Greece, you will need either two tests or four tests, depending on if you are vaccinated.
To enter Greece, Brits will need a negative PCR test taken at least 72 hours before arrival, or a negative antigen test taken at least 48 hours before arrival.
However, this only applies to unvaxxed Brits – any who have had both jabs do not need a test.
Greece is on the amber list, so this means Brits returning will have to have a negative PCR test before arriving, as well as one on day two and day eight during the 10-day quarantine.
However, this only applies to unvaxxed Brits – any who have had both jabs do not need a test on day eight, or have to quarantine (but will need them pre-arrival and on day two).
France
To visit France, you will need either three tests or four tests, depending on if you are vaccinated.
To enter France, Brits will have to be fully vaccinated, but do not need a test on arrival.
Unvaxxed Brits are not currently allowed to visit France on holiday.
France is on the amber list, so this means Brits returning will have to have a negative PCR test before arriving, as well as one on day two and day eight during the 10-day quarantine.
However, this only applies to unvaxxed Brits – any who have had both jabs do not need a test on day eight, or have to quarantine (but will need them pre-arrival and on day two).
Portugal
To visit Portugal, you will need either two tests or four tests, depending on if you are vaccinated.
To enter Portugal, Brits will have to be fully vaccinated, but do not need a test on arrival.
Unvaxxed Brits must quarantine for 14 days on arrival in Portugal.
Portugal is on the amber list, so this means Brits returning will have to have a negative PCR test before arriving, as well as one on day two and day eight during the 10-day quarantine.
However, this only applies to unvaxxed Brits – any who have had both jabs do not need a test on day eight, or have to quarantine (but will need them pre-arrival and on day two).
The exception is Madeira, as unvaccinated Brits can visit with a negative PCR test, no more than 72 hours before arrival.
Madeira is on the green list, meaning all Brits can have just a negative test pre-arrival and one on day two, regardless of vaccination status.
Italy
To visit Italy, you will need either four tests or five tests, depending on if you are vaccinated.
To enter Italy, all Brits have to quarantine for five days on arrival, even if fully vaccinated.
Brits also need a negative PCR test or antigen test before arriving, and one on the final day of quarantine.
Italy is on the amber list, so this means Brits returning will have to have a negative PCR test before arriving, as well as one on day two and day eight during the 10-day quarantine.
However, this only applies to unvaxxed Brits – any who have had both jabs do not need a test on day eight, or have to quarantine (but will need them pre-arrival and on day two).
Croatia
To visit Croatia, you will need three tests.
To enter Croatia, Brits will need a negative PCR test taken at least 72 hours before arrival, or a negative antigen test taken at least 48 hours before arrival.
This applies to both fully vaccinated and unvaccinated Brits.
