Flight from Scotland makes emergency landing minutes after take-off following mid-air alert | The Sun

A FLIGHT from Scotland was forced to make an emergency landing minutes after take-off.

The Loganair plane was travelling from Edinburgh to Southampton this morning when the alarm was raised.

Flight LOG8TR departed from the capital just before 7am but later declared an emergency over Dumfries.

The flight was diverted back to Edinburgh.

Loganair confirmed the alert was issued after a medical incident.

A spokesperson for the airline said: “We can confirm this morning’s Edinburgh to Southampton flight returned to Edinburgh after a passenger became unwell onboard.

“We thank our customers for their understanding and the emergency services for their quick response.”
