Cabin crew reveal the funniest things they’ve overheard kids saying on planes

Children don’t tend to have a filter when they speak their minds, which can make them unintentionally hilarious.

When it’s not your own child, it can be even funnier if they’re making things awkward with their questions, sharing new discoveries or simply coming out with some brilliant statements.

Think this little girl’s accidentally rude version of a classic children’s song.

Then there are holidays where all children get excited, but unfortunately for parents the cabin is the perfect place for everyone to hear your kids’ musings.

It can brighten up any cabin crew’s journey, especially when little ones come out with hysterical one-liners.

Members of Thomas Cook Airlines’ cabin crew have offered some insight as they revealed some of the hilarious gems they’ve overheard kids saying during flights.

Check them out below – they make for a good chuckle!

1. The Captain-in-the-making

As the Captain announced he was preparing to land, one young girl was heard shouting: "Would someone please tell the Captain I am just not prepared to land!"

2. The one who didn’t want to ruin Christmas

"Daddy, what if we fly into Santa Claus?"

3. The kid who wasn’t comforting

"Aah so this is heaven," exclaimed one little one, prompting the scared passenger in front to reply: "I really hope not".

4. The scientist

"What planet are we on Mum?"

5. The one who was too warm

"Mummy, I’m hot. Can I open the window?" asked one child while 30,000ft in the air.

6. Winning at small talk

One child was heard asking the man in front: "I am going to Spain, where are you going?"
