If you’re using an older Microsoft device then now could be a good time to upgrade.
The US technology firm announced a swathe of new Windows 10-powered devices earlier this month and some are set to go on sale later this week.
The refreshed products include new laptops, 2-in-1 tablets and even a smartphone.
And if you want to know what is coming and when, here’s our full guide including, products, price and when you get them.
SURFACE LAPTOP 3
The popular Surface Laptop 3 is back with new features and an improved design.
This portable PC has had a major overhaul with it getting a faster 10th Generation Intel Core processor, bigger trackpad and all-day battery life with faster charging.
There’s also the inclusion of both USB-A and USB-C ports and you can now buy the Surface Laptop 3 with a 15-inch display.
Along with the usual Alcantara fabric finish, Microsoft is offering a full aluminium all-metal design which should be more simple to clean.
Other extras include better speakers, a more comfortable typing experience and this machine has been made easier to repair.
The new Surface Laptop 3 is out on October 22 with prices starting from £999.
SURFACE PRO AND PRO X
Microsoft continues to lead the way when it comes to 2-in-1 PCs and this update helps to improve things even further.
Although it may look the same, the 12.3-inch Surface Pro 7 has been totally rebuilt and now arrives with a better processor which makes it twice as fast as before
Then there’s the new Surface Pro X which offers powerful performance in a design that is Microsoft’s thinnest and lightest yet.
The US firm has worked with Qualcomm to make sure there’s plenty of processing power and this is officially the fastest Qualcomm processor ever created for a PC.
Another nice feature of the Pro X is the Signature Keyboard which finally includes a neat space to hold your digital stylus meaning it’s less likely to get lost when on the move.
This device is also always-on and always connected so you won’t have to find Wi-Fi to get online.
The Surface Pro 7 starts from £799 with the Pro X costing £999 – both hit stores on October 22.
AND WHAT ELSE IS NEW?
Along with laptops and tablets, there were also a few surprises including some new AirPod style headphones.
Called Surface Earuds, these in-ear music makers not only offer wire-free playback but also simple controls and screen-free integration with Office 365.
There’s no UK price for the Surface Earbuds just yet but in the US they cost $249 (£190).
Finally, there’s two new foldable devices that will launch next year.
The Surface Neo is a dual-screen device built for productivity on Windows 10X.
It features a 360-degree full-friction hinge that connects two 9” screens and once opened you have a full-size 13” display in the thinnest LCD in its class.
Then there’s the Surface Duo which is the first Surface to fit in your pocket.
It has two paper-thin 5.6-inch screens that unfold to 8.3 inches and it also runs on Android so you’ll get access to all the apps on the Play Store.
The Duo can also make calls which means Microsoft is, once again, dipping its toe in the smartphone market.
