Samsung has unveiled a bizarre tennis ball-like robot called Ballie that is designed to follow you around and film you.
The robot, which was revealed at the CES technology conference in Las Vegas last night, has a built in camera that can capture and store ‘special moments.’
Samsung president and chief executive H S Kim took to the stage to demonstrate the robot, proclaiming ‘I love this guy!’
Ballie not only acts as your personal videographer, but can also act as a fitness assistant and help with household chores, according to Samsung.
For example, the robot can be used to activate smart home devices as you travel around your house.

While it remains unclear when Ballie will go on sale, or how much it will cost, the robot has already caused quite the stir on social media.
One user wrote: “Samsung's Ballie resembles a tennis ball too closely. I'm sure my dog will be overwhelmed to chase and chew on it.”
Another questioned: “What if it rolls in bedroom during intimate moment and record everything ???”

And one joked: “All fun and games until you step back on it and break your damn neck!”
Mirror Online has contacted Samsung for further details on the robot.
Samsung also teased a pair of augmented reality smart glasses as part of a demonstration of its GEMS mobility exoskeleton first seen last year, which is used to help improve mobility in those with mobility conditions.
The presentation also included suggestions of smart homes complete with food preparation robots.
Mr Kim called the next wave of innovations the "age of experience", which he said will see technology become more personalised for each user during the next decade.
"In the age of experience, we need to re-think the space we have to accommodate our diverse and evolving lifestyles," he said.
"What makes Samsung's approach unique is the fact that we have a very clear philosophy built around human-centered innovation. We build and create to solve problems and enhance people's lives."
