It’s arguably the most recognisable character from the Pokemon franchise, and now Pikachu has been given a realistic makeover.
The adorable character has been brought to life in the first trailer for Detective Pikachu – and he even speaks!
However, the realistic Pokemon has fans divided.
While some claim that the furry Pikachu is adorable, others have dubbed it ‘creepy.’
Carrie said: “I’m just going to say that the Pokémon from the pikachu detective trailer are actually creepy looking…in a cute way?? Like the same way old dolls are pretty but terrifying.”
Sam added: “The live action Jiggly Puff and Pikachu both look creepy and I want no parts of that nonsense.”
Many were also very confused about Pickahu’s voice – which is being voiced by Ryan Reynolds.
Gabriella said: “Furry pikachu with Ryan Reynolds voices is insanely creepy.”
However, others are loving the realistic Pikachu.
