One of Asia’s most successful web entrepreneurs has emerged as a major investor in Kinzen, the online startup founded by Mark Little, Aine Kerr and Paul Watson.
Derianto Kusuma, the co-founder and former chief technology officer of the €2bn Indonesian-based travel tech firm Traveloka, describes himself as an angel investor in the firm.

Earlier this year, his US-based DK Investments firm invested €500,000 in the company, making it Kinzen’s largest single financial backer.
Company documents show that Mr Little himself has invested a further €250,000 in the venture this year.
Other major investors in Kinzen include the Dublin-based serial entrepreneur Ray Nolan, while a number of executives from the Dublin-based Richmond Marketing firm are also investors.
The startup also received some funding from Google along with assistance from the blockchain organisation Civil, which itself is heavily backed by the blockchain consultancy company Consensys.
Kinzen describes itself as a technology company that is “building tools for individuals and publishers to access and present personalised news and information”.
Its app, which is currently only available on iPhones and iPads, allows users to select areas of interest and a time to schedule consumption of that content.
The company is also looking for ways to partner with publishers that offer paid subscriptions.
“There’s just too much noise, too much scrolling to find things you need,” co-founder Mark Little previously told the Irish Independent.
