How to make your iPhone swear again after the iOS 13 naughty word ban

There’s nothing more f****** frustrating than being told not to swear.

But that’s exactly what has happened to Apple fans who’ve installed the latest version of its iPhone operating system.

The software is called iOS 13 and slaps users with a new naughty word filter which will stop autocomplete from handily spelling out rude words automatically.

Apple’s latest operating system introduced a ‘slide to type keyboard’ which allows users to type words by gliding their finger from letter to letter.

The software can then work out what you’ve tried to scribble and automatically suggest a few words.

Slide-type words like ‘s***’ or ‘f***’, however, and iOS 13 will suggest ‘duck’ or ‘shout’ instead – although we found it will autocomplete the dreaded c-word and even ‘ass’.

Thankfully for potty mouths, there is a way of making the operating system swear.

All you need to do is open up contacts and add a new entry and type the swear word of your choice as its name.

You can also go into settings, followed by ‘general’, ‘keyboard’ and ‘text replacement’. Then enter the naughty word of your choice in the box marked ‘phrase’.

These tricks should let you happily curse away with the new swipe keyboard without having Apple virtually wash your mouth out.

You can protect yourself from swearwords using various iPhone settings. For instance, you can make sure Siri doesn’t read out any ‘explicit language’.

Google turns on a ‘profanity filter’ by default on its Pixel phones and will not transcribe your filthy language or read out naughty words.
