Users have experienced major issues on the applications, which also include programmes Gmail, Discord, Nest and Google Analytics. The tech giant has claimed to have identified the issue and was attempting to restores services. According to Breaking911, the issues have affected large parts of east and west America, but problems have also been reported throughout the UK.
A spokesperson for Google said: “We are investigating an issue with Google Compute Engine.
“Issue is related to a larger network issue.
“We are experiencing high levels of network congestion in the eastern USA, affecting multiple service in Google Cloud, GSuite and YouTube.
“Users may see slow performance or intermittent errors.
“We believe we have identified the root cause of the congestion and expect to a return to normal service shortly.”
