Fortnite glitch discovered that could cost you your next victory

It’s one of the most popular video games around, but if you play Fortnite, you should be aware of a new glitch in the game.

The glitch, which was first reported on Reddit, appears to lie in certain emotes – fun little animations and dances that players can use to express themselves in the game.

Reddit user miillk_man explained their experience of the glitch, having selected the Switchstep emote to flex on their competition.

They posted a video of the gameplay, explaining: “This is what happens when you try to dance on someone (couldn’t move).”

Bizarrely, after triggering the emote, the player was unable to move, while their weapons also disappeared.

The strange freeze lasted around 10 seconds before the player was able to move again.

While Epic Games is yet to comment on the glitch, several Reddit users replied with similar experiences.

One user wrote: “I've had this bug before, it gets extremely annoying when you're just trying to dance then all of a sudden you can't do anything at all.”

Another added: “That’s been here since the beginning of chapter 2. It’s not when you eliminate someone it can just happen any time you try and emote or at least that’s how it’s been for me . It sucks.”

However, one player explained that they’d found a workaround for the glitch.

They explained: “If you press R2 (PS4), RT (Xbox) you can fix the glitch.”
