Disney has given away the key information about its upcoming streaming service.
Disney+ will be the company’s challenger to Netflix, Amazon Prime and Apple TV+ and CEO Bob Iger has revealed when it’ll be launching in the US.
The executive announced it will become available on November 12 in the United States at a price of either $6.99 per month or $69.99 for the year.
‘I can say that our plan on the Disney side is to price this substantially below where Netflix is,’ Iger said.
There will also be the option to create different user profiles for different members of the family.
Disney hasn’t yet given a firm UK release date or price, but Metro.co.uk has contacted the company for clarification and will update this piece as soon as we hear back.
What TV series will be on Disney+?
One of the most anticipated new original series being produced for the site is Star Wars spin-off The Mandalorian. Created by George Lucas, the series will take place after the events of Return of the Jedi and before The Force Awakens.
